About Edith Leeuta

Edith Leeuta is a seasoned Human Resources Executive and Business Manager with over 15 years of experience in the varied themes of strategic human capital development and organisational change management. Her extensive experience in both the public and private sectors has seen her conceptualise and implement solutions that aim to bring about positive change. Prior to joining Fibre Circle, Edith was employed as a Senior Human Capital Business Partner at Standard Bank Group. Edith has also been at the helm of Enele Consulting, an organisational development consultancy she co-founded in 2005. The consultancy served leading organisations such as Nedbank, First National Bank, event_datewaterhouseCoopers, the Department of Science and Innovation, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Gauteng Provincial Legislature. Edith’s entrepreneurial flair was cultivated at Bidvest when she was nominated and participated in the prestigious Bidvest Leadership Academy, the brainchild of Mr Brian Joffe. Her love for the green economy, environmental sustainability and community engagement was actualised when she joined New GX Capital as the Head of Human Resources Management in 2015. At the time of joining New GX Capital Edith, was responsible for developing and implementing the Human Resources and Key Stakeholder Framework for New GX Enviro Solutions, a subsidiary of New GX Capital which build the largest material recovery facility in the City of Tshwane. Edith joined Fibre Circle in May 2022, with the mission of playing a meaningful role in the development of the circular economy and promoting the preservation of resources for current and future generations. Edith can be heard on radio addressing various topics related to creating consciousness of our environmental footprint. Radio is a medium she is passionate about having led the human resources function of Power FM. We all have a role to play in keeping South Africa clean and promoting sustainable waste management practices.

About Roxanne Makhaya

Roxanne has experience in finance, accounting, tax and auditing, and obtained her Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Johannesburg. She also holds a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA 2) from UNISA and is currently studying towards her Chartered Global Management Accountant qualification through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

About Dumisani Khumalo

Dumisani Khumalo has extensive experience across the field of Marketing & Communications, ranging from advertising and campaigns management to corporate communications as well as digital marketing. Dumisani has worked in various sectors including Tourism and ICT. His varied career includes: Advertising coordinator, marketing campaigns coordinator at Thompsons Holidays; Online Communications Specialist at Cell C; Digital Marketing Specialist at Cullinan Outbound Holdings, Online Presence Specialist, International Relations Manager, and Acting Communications Manager at ICASA Dumisani holds a Diploma in Tourism Management, a BCom Honours in Marketing Management and is currently studying towards an MBA.

About Dinga Mncube

Dinga Mncube has worked in both public and private forestry sectors for more than 30 years. He began his career as a forester and rose to the position of managing director of Sappi Forests South Africa and Swaziland, before heading up the local unit of Sappi Fine Paper. Dinga has had the unique experience of working across the value chain, from nursery to the final pulp and paper product. He was privileged to oversee Sappi’s ‘outgrower’ project and was instrumental in introducing B-BBEE to the company through enterprise development, preferential procurement, skills development and ownership.
In addition, he was part of the committee that negotiated, drafted and gazetted the Forest Sector Code and served two terms overseeing its implementation. He has a Diploma in Forestry (Fort Cox), a BSc in Forest Management (Washington State University), an MSc in Forest Products (University of Idaho), an MCom in Business Management (University of Johannesburg), a Graduate Diploma in Company Direction (Graduate Institute of Management and Technology) and has participated in senior executive programmes at Harvard and Wits.

About Raymond Dube

Raymond Dube is managing director of Nampak Liquid Cartons where he was previously general manager operations. He has more than three decades of experience in the manufacturing environment and has a National Higher Diploma in Chemical Engineering. He has vast experience in the FMCG sector and has managed more than 300 subordinates in unionised environments. Raymond completed the Management Development Programme at the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science.

About Nat Maelane

Nat Maelane is a seasoned supply chain professional with 37 years’ experience in multisector private industries and state-owned enterprises. He has developed and implemented supply chain best practices that have contributed to the competitiveness and sustainability of these entities. Nat has been extremely active in the professionalisation of supply chain practitioners and was a founding member of the Institute of Purchasing South Africa and subsequently the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply – South Africa (CIPSSA). It was during his tenure at CIPSSA that he served as a board member and chairman of the B-BBEE Education Trust. Nat has completed senior leadership programs at Michigan State University (USA), London Business School (UK) and INSEAD University (France). He holds an MDP Diploma (UNISA SBL) and an MSc degree (Liverpool University (UK). Nat has served on the boards of Procurement Best Practices (Pty) Ltd, Sappi South Africa and CIPSSA. He is currently the chief procurement officer and an executive committee member at Sappi South Africa, a Director of ECIP SPV1 (Pty) Ltd and PAMDEV NPC. His valued contributions will be in the areas of corporate governance, strategic direction and transformation.

About Hugh Thompson

Hugh Thompson became managing director of Mondi Packaging’s paper manufacturing division in 2009 following stints as chief financial officer of Mpact and managing director of the company’s plastics division. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the packaging sector and was previously senior vice-president: corporate finance at Anglo American South Africa. He holds a BCompt honours degree, a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting from Unisa and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has also completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Programme.

About Kim Tomlinson

Kim has been employed by Constantia Afripack Flexibles SA for last 15 years in various Packaging roles in Sales , Product management and Product development. Originally qualified as a microbiologist – having worked in the Food Industry for most of her working life in Brewing Industry, Dairy Industry, Polymer Industry, Food Chemistry Industry and currently the Packaging Industry. (Including 2 years for Nabisco Foods in London UK.) She holds an MBA from the University of Wales Cambridge and various other short courses which have given her insight into key requirements of the Packaging Industry. Additionally, she is a qualified Moderator and assessor for Services SETA and have written accredited short course training programs focused on Entrepreneurship and Business development. Currently focused on development of Sustainable packaging solutions for the industry.
